The device works overall fine. It does eat through a set of AAA batteries on cont. mode in about 8 hours. Best feature is it performs clear ECG readings w/ 3 lead cable, impressive actually! I work EMS and I am amazed at how well this compares to the basic 4 leads we use. The blue tooth range to the cell phone app picks up really well. From one end of house to the other the Bluetooth signal was within range. The Quick mode ECG has too much artifact to make a clear reading. I wouldn't trust the quick readings too much. It was VERY tricky trying to download the ECG viewer app to my galaxy S5 phone. But once I found the app and could bypass the app security settings on my phone I was able to use it. I am HIGHLY disappointed in the PC software as it is outdated and needs to be updated. The program works on my Windows 7 computer ONLY w/ the usb cord and the wireless functions will not work at all due to unrecognizable bluetooth. The program will not install at all on my Windows 8 computer. It does recognize the bluetooh device but The software will not install to much frustration. As a last ditch effort to get the full function of wireless transmissions w/ the program manager for the ECG device I tried it out on a Windows XP computer and that finally worked. This would get 4 stars if it wasn't so flipping hard to get this software to work. Unfortunately, the only way to get the 3-lead reading to record so you can save or print is through the computer software. It will NOT "record" in real time w/ just the handheld device by itself. If the 3-lead ECG would record on the handheld device then transfer over like it does with the quick handheld readings, then that would be helpful and make this a much better product. At the end of the day you get what you pay for, so to get quality ECG readings w/ a device for under 300.00 is a deal. I use it during my Cardio PT therapy as I have arrhythmia issues and it has proved useful. Recommend buying a case (like ones for a camera or bulky phone) that can hook or clip on through your belt as the case they give you is actually more of a travel storage case. The included electrodes are not bad. They are relatively hypoallergenic and make good contact w/ leads. I received snap on fabric type.
